Getting Fit

I set a goal for myself to become fit. Specifically, my primary goal is to reach a healthy weight. My secondary goal is to gain strength. To make the habits of diet and exercise stick, I started my fitness journey by tracking something easily measurable: weight. Seeing progress is a great motivator. My gym routine is consistent and easily repeatable. My diet is varied but planned using nutritional fact sheets to ensure that I maintain a caloric deficit. After all, no one can outrun a bad diet. The keys to success are measurable progress and consistent execution over time. The following graph shows the results of my consistent accumulation of these “tedious” daily efforts:
